Daisy Digest: October 2019

‘Tis the end of the month and that’s a good time to look back and take stock a wee bit. Welcome to Daisy Digest, a compilation of the highs and lows, the things to be grateful for, and more, from the past month.

October 2019

Tenth month, I barely knew ye. The world swirled. I hung on. And here we are.

Blooms and wilts (highlights and challenges)

  • Bloom: Clouds pass, equilibrium is restored(restoring).
  • Wilt: It took an earthquake of some magnitude to achieve that bloom (but the cracks are how the light get in).

Bouquet of Gratitude

  • The beach and the ocean (visited again)
  • Courage (visited again)
  • Kindness (visited again)
  • Laughter
  • Skinny Pop Popcorn
  • Twix
  • Fresh sheets
  • Warm smiles

Daisy Delights (more in the sidebar under the same name)

I’m late to the party, as per usual, I have discovered the comedy stylings of Gary Gulman. His latest special, The Great Depresh (HBO), tells funny tales and provides insight into his battles with depression. I love comedy (or theater or any art) that also helps shed light.

That special led me to The YouTube and here’s my favorite Gulman clip (so far). A think-y comedian! My favorite kind.

Digest Denouement

Today is the day known for getting candy for costume- and mask-wearing. Thoroughly enjoyed as a child, once grown up I never liked it much. People wear masks every day. I motion that we receive a piece of candy every day we choose not to succumb to that adulting artificiality. All in favor?

Daisy Digest is a monthly look back at the highlights and struggles, things to be grateful for, fun or interesting things I’m watching/reading/listening to, and photos I’ve taken or videos I discovered and want to share. There’s usually a lil’ tale or conversation (my side, at least) to share, too.  Posts go up on the last day of each month, September through June.

  1. Good for you using the last day of the month to reflect on the month that is about to end. Every month (actually every day) has ups and downs – so it’s about managing them and choosing a perspective.

    Happy Candy Corn Day!

    1. I’m so sorry that the evil YouTube people will not let you watch all the videos. What can be done to fix this egregious error, politics and YouTube People???

  2. LOVE your take on Halloween. I haven’t loved it since 1985, Okay?!?
I do, however, love Skinny Pop and like Twix 🙂
That is a gorgeous shot in the side mirror, really great pic!
