Song Lyric Sunday: Hide

As the great musical poet Kiki Dee once said, “I’ve got the music in me.” Seriously, music is part of my daily life, so I participate in Song Lyric Sunday. This week’s theme is hide.

song lyric sunday

I first heard this song in 1991, on the soundtrack to the movie Philadelphia. The performers are, of course, my favorite band, but the song is not theirs. It was written more than 20 years before by Danny Whitten, who worked with Crazy Horse, who first recorded it (you may have heard the Rod Stewart cover in the late 1980s as well).

It’s a sad song, about a broken heart.

If I stand all alone
Will the shadows hide the color of my heart

I Don’t Want to Talk About It

I'm a writer who loves to laugh and smile. :-)
