Song Lyric Sunday: Found

As the great musical poet Kiki Dee once said, “I’ve got the music in me.” Seriously, music is part of my daily life, so I participate in Song Lyric Sunday. This week’s theme is found.

This one’s for the invisible, the awkward, the wallflowers, anyone who lives in the margins and flies under the radar.

I see you.

I hear you.

I’ve been you.

I am you.

You, we, are not alone.

Even when the dark comes crashing through
When you need a friend to carry you
When you’re broken on the ground
You will be found

So let the sun come streaming in
‘Cause you’ll reach up and you’ll rise again
If you only look around
You will be found

You Will Be Found (links to official Broadway soundtrack version) from Dear Evan Hansen (music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul)

One of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard, performed by a virtual choir from around the world:

(p.s. After more than a year of hearing this song, I still cannot get all the way through this without tears.)

    1. Happy to introduce you! I’m a HUGE theater fan so this has been on my MUST SEE list since it came out a few years ago. I hope it will tour near me because I really don’t want to go to NYC to see it (the older I get, the more claustrophobic that city seems to me… loved it when I was younger, though).

Aw, that’s nice to hear that I’m sharing new-to-you things! As do you, for me. BLOGGING MUTUAL ADMIRATION SOCIETY! 🙂
