Song Lyric Sunday: Dream

song lyric sundayAs the great musical poet Kiki Dee once said, “I’ve got the music in me.” Seriously, music is part of my daily life, so I participate in Song Lyric Sunday.

This week’s theme is dreamand DJ Tara chose a song she forgot about until rejecting all the initial thoughts that fit the theme and searching… then found this… … …

These Dreams by Heart… I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables… my mind went round and round. Upon my landing on The YouTube, I searched the word dreams. Far, far, FAR down the page of suggestions, I found this gem I had momentarily forgotten about (in my defense, it’s Sunday morning… me no thinkee on the weekends).

No big back story on this one, just I love this band and this song is one of their best. My apologies for Billy Joe for not remembering his group’s awesome song off the top of my head: Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day.

This post is part of Helen’s Song Lyric Sunday. Read this week’s theme post here. Read her choice for this week here.

  1. This song actually used to annoy me…because I heard it so much! My boys were high schoolers, and I was a PTA-mom, and this song seemed to be the anthem of every kid in the school! LOL! Thanks for the memories! 😉

  2. Oh, now I remember this song! I didn’t recognize the title, but I love this song! Haven’t heard it in a long time. Funny story – my daughter & I thought we saw the band members at our local video store one time. Impossible, but it sure looked like them. We still talk about it. 🙂

  3. I haven’t heard this song in ages. I liked it at first, but then it ended up being a constant in the stores I shopped in. I began to think of it as “Muzak” which was unfair to this song. Happy to hear it here again.
