I like Hanson and I am not ashamed.
When the wee ones appeared on the scene in 1997 with MMMBop, the littlest of the bunch, Zac, was 12. People called them a boy band. NO! They’re musicians! And talented ones at that. As a former wee musician (piano/drums), I could see that. But nooooooo, they were labled bubble-gum pop, i.e., crap.
Now, 21 years later, they’re still writing and recording. They’re all grown up, and still awesome. And that means I WAS RIGHT!
Seriously, though. They’re amazing musicians and harmonizers. And they never gave up on their dreams. And I stuck to my guns scoffing at anyone who teased me for liking a boy band. I believe the moral of the story then is to be always who you are and to enjoy great music in whatever form it comes to you.

Love that Mmm Bop song! …. One Christmas, when the song was pretty new, I got it for my daughter. She put it on so we could listen to it while we were opening our presents. It was played over & over, so we call it our Mmm Bop Christmas. Now, my grand daughter likes it a lot, and goes around singing it. haha! 🙂
