#DSFWeeklyRewind: Sunshine Day

Welcome to my #DSFWeeklyRewind post for this week. So how was it?

#DSFWeeklyRewind is a weekly linkup for Twitterites and other bloggers who want to share their week, perhaps with a dash of creativity, and some gratitude. If you’d like to do a #DSFWeeklyRewind post, see the guidelines here and post your link in the comments (or ping back to this post, if you’re on WordPress.com).

March’s fun has been a snowstorm (or 2) per week. For this week’s storm, I refrained daisy-144677_1280from taking any photos, except for one of a boxelder bug hanging on for dear life on the window ledge. I know, little buddy — we’re all weather-confused. (See him here.) I’m now enjoying a four-day weekend, a mini-break celebrating my three-month anniversary at The New Gig. As I acquired more days off last week (along with a raise), long weekends will become almost as frequent as March snowstorms (ok, not that frequent).

Perhaps I should rest up since I signed up for the Blogging from A to Z Challenge for the first time. I’m usually late to a party and this is no exception — the challenge is several years old. This year, my favorite show, This Is Us, is on hiatus, so I decided to fill some time in April and the empty hole in my heart by participating. This week was the theme reveal, if you have a theme that is, and so I posted A to Z: Let the Music Play. My theme is square1Musical Memoir. As I started writing down ideas, Muse woke up and thought we were writing memoir and came up with oodles of good ones. But they’re for actual memoirs, I told her. We need to focus for this on anything that isn’t going to be part of a larger piece (like a book or essay). She and I then came up with ideas for several, but not all, of the letters. I’ve changed my mind and moved the topics around like pieces in a puzzle. I woke up Saturday morning with an idea for the letter F, which had eluded me. The preparation alone has been fun, so I assume the challenge will be, too. Stop by April 1 to read Post Numero Uno!

Speaking of Bloggy Goodness, this week I also posted:

Speaking of right, being gratitudinous just feels right, so this week, I’m grateful for: days off; snow that looks pretty then melts quickly; the firm pillow for my side sleeping and the soft pillow for my on-my-stomach slumber; music; words; Muse being excited about writing; the new TV show Champions; and getting older (well, except for the achy parts after I’ve been sitting down for too long) and smarter.

The sun is shining. Sitting in the car on these after-snowstorm days means feeling like you’re being cooked slowly, so spring can’t be far behind! Let’s celebrate the brightness with a happy tune by The Brady Bunch, shall we?

May your life’s choreography be as simple as switching your mike from one hand to the other. May you feel the groove as intensely as little Bobby Brady. And even when clouds fill the sky, may you always have sunshine days.

Until next time, peace.
