#DSFWeeklyRewind: The Glamorous Life

Welcome to my #DSFWeeklyRewind post for this week. So how was it?

daisy-144677_1280I hit a wall on Thursday around 2 and still haven’t recovered. I’ve slept. I’ve done the introverting thing. Sometimes, though, your body and mind just say enough. I still worked the rest of Thursday and Friday, but let’s just say my body was in my seat, but my brain was mostly off. So hello, dear weekend. I’m so happy to see you!

I ran errands. I worked. Blah blah blah. Adulting is so non-glamorous sometimes, yes? Perhaps that’s why I enjoy the glamour and just overall fabulousness of one Adam Rippon. In the gigantic snooze that is this year’s Olympics, he’s a breath of fresh air and authenticity. This American figure skater says whatever pops into that well-coiffed and awesomely-eyebrowed head of his and I love it. Oh, and his fluid, artistic, interpretative, and meditative skating blows all those boys doing quads (and just about nothing else) out of the water. If the girls ever start doing quads, I may quit watching it all. I wrote about him and linked to his beautiful free skate from the (stupid) ice skating team competition as part of Share Your World this week.

Speaking of blogging, I also shared a story about a visit to some Courthouses and meeting myself in my  Thursday Doors: T for Two. And I celebrated my Goodreads 2018 challenge victory in Goodreads Goals: Good Riddance.

As usual, I’m gratitudinous. This week, I’m grateful for: the weekend; people who are who they are with no apologies; my co-worker who bought little stars to reward each other with when we’re AWESOME (I already have 6!); google, as I had to double-check the spelling of glamour and glamorous, which both looked weird for some reason; glorious sleep; Blue Tootie, my car, which can’t get enough shout-outs for taking me wherever I want and need to go; and antacid. I had heartburn again for dinner last night (Buffalo Chicken Dip), and it’s because of antacid’s support that I can indulge and enjoy.

May your weekend be rejuvenating. May you live your days out loud. May gratitude fill your heart. And may your eyebrows always look as lovely as Adam’s (it’s the little things).

Until next time, peace.

  1. Fo sho!

Coming of age is SO not glamorous. If I would have known how full of shit Charles Dickens was when I was falling in love with his stuff in high school? I would have tried heavy drugs instead.

    Gratitudinous? YES!

    I love your blog.

    Peace and Philadelphia

    1. Aww. If I knew you then, I would have told you he was full of shit. Alas, the universe decided our paths shouldn’t cross until now.

      I’m gratitudinous for your YES!

      Awwww. FENKS!!!!! *bows*

That last phrase is almost an oxymoron. 🙂 But yah, word up.

  2. I’m a total failure as a human, I think. I keep forgetting that the Olympics are even happening until I open a new tab and see the Google doodle of the day, which is always something Olympics themed.

I feel you on the introvert thing. I need to have one of those weekends soon, though this one was kind of close. I wanted to see Black Panther and instead binged Altered Carbon. Not convinced it was the wrong choice, but I do still want to see Black Panther.

    Hope your weekend was refreshing!

    1. You’re not missing much in the Olympics, believe me.

Binge-watching entertainment can be a good way to introvert. Since you didn’t get to see Black Panther this weekend, you could go one night — less crowds!

Twas a refreshing weekend, but I shall introvert Monday and Tuesday nights as well. Need a little extra this time ’round.

    1. You’re welcome. Did you know that Prince wrote that little ditty? What a talented little purple man he was! I loved it, and Sheila E, because I played the drums at the time. Girl drummers rule!

I’m a fan of phone talking as long as the conversation is more than about the weather, etc.

You have a great week, too!
