Some weeks (on Mondays or Tuesdays), I shall participate in Share Your World, a weekly blog challenge some of the cool kids I know take part in. There’s no Movie Monday this week so I shall do it today!
What caring thing are you going to do for yourself today?
Spending the day in solitude and quiet, to refill my introvert wells and also in preparation for a new adventure beginning this week. The introvert wells are depleted more than usual due to holiday hullabaloo surrounding me (no matter how I tried to protect myself). And p.s. Why is it so difficult for some people to respect other people’s boundaries? Conundrum.
List at least five of your favorite spices. (excluding salt and pepper)
Whatever makes Buffalo sauce spicy; whatever makes apple pie delicious; McCormick’s Italian Seasoning mix (there HAVE to be more than five in there); oregano (is that cheating because it’s probably in the Italian Seasoning?); are poppy seeds a spice? Then those, too.
What can you always be found with?
Pen and paper. An extra pair of reading glasses. Toilet paper (there would be at least one time you’d thank me if we were out and about together).
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
I appreciated, again, the amazing-ness of the human body as my wrist continues to recover. Not long ago (don’t remember which day), I attempted to put in a ponytail holder for the first time in more than 8 weeks. Thumby strugged a bit, but we got the job done. I did it every day after and Thumby got stronger every time. It just amazes me — the things I couldn’t do for so long and now am relearning and, in many cases, picking up quickly. Thumby is also almost able to reeeaaaaacccchhhhhh all the way over to the bottom of Pinky (where she meets my palm). Soon enough.
