#WeekendCoffeeShare: Surrender

WCS Tea BagIf we were having coffee (and my tasty black iced tea), I’d have a double. I’m so thirsty from, you know, summering. *sigh* Wait… sighing uses up way too much energy… … …

Let’s chat.

Week in General: Chaos followed by calm. I was strapped into a roller coaster I couldn’t get off. Attitude adjustments required, if I was going to survive, nay, thrive. … By week’s end, I decided it was like standing in the ocean. If I fight the waves, I get knocked down. If I just allow them to float over me, or to let myself float within them, it’s much easier. Does that mean I told myself to go with the float? haha

Broken Record: This August’s humidity has exhausted me. I don’t remember having such stickiness the past few years. Just a few… more… weeks… The weather morons say it will be only 79 degrees (F) on Friday. Of course, with a billion percent humidity, that still feels like hell. But lower numbers in the forecast remind me that lower numbers WITH lower humidity are on their way… … …

Treat of the week: The fact that it ended. Oh, and I’m still enjoying Klondike bars, Oreo flavor. I also enjoyed an Autumnal treat… (more below… just keep reading…)

This week’s fun: Endless reruns of Roseanne on a channel called Laff. The humor holds up 20+ years later. Also fun — my Instagram #365Project — just about 30 more days. Tempus fugit, my friends.

This week’s challenge: Remembering to get up and walk around or step in place at my desk during really busy times. My back reminds me later in the evening if I don’t.

This week’s Bloggy Goodness: NONE.

I’m waving the white flag! Summer’s worn me out. And that leads me to this teeny announcement: I’m taking the rest of the month off. It’s too hot and humid to do anything, and who the heck wants to read posts about how hot and humid it is. I shall embrace the lazy hazy days of summer, and do nothing, and sit still as much as possible. Pages of books will be turned, provided there aren’t too many pages, thereby making the book(s) too heavy, thereby causing a slight workout and sweating during the swelter.

I shall rejoin the bloggy world, and blog a-plenty, once September returns. Oh, my happy time! Back to school (shopping is fun, and all the kids get off the streets)! And it’s Preliminary Autumn! Oh, speaking of that, I had pumpkin pie this week. … … Too soon? NO, I say. Autumn, pumpkins, cooler air that isn’t made by an ever-whirring machine cannot get here soon enough.

Enjoy the next few weeks. I’ll enjoy catching up after Labor Day here in the U.S., a three-day weekend!

Until next time… Peace.
