Sitting in traffic on March 30, I found myself behind a truck with some of my favorite treats inside — just behind its back door, mere feet from my car. I could sneak up, open it, and be in one of my versions of heaven….
This is the truck of the W.B. Mason office products company. Sure, he looks like an ice cream man (and I would similarly have daydreamed about pilfering from an ice cream truck), but a stationery store on wheels? *faints*
In a past blogging life (I’ve blogged off and on since 2004), I was known as the Stationery Queen. Anyone who wants to butter me up knows a great way to do that is with Dixon Ticonderoga #2 pencils or a Pink Pearl eraser (or Bic Cristal pens… or just take me to Staples and dare me to fill my cart with as much as I can and watch me make the tallest, most Jenga-est pile of office supplies you’ve ever seen).
I like pens, paper, et al, in case you couldn’t tell.
Alas, on that day, I simply admired Mr. Mason and his truck from my driver’s seat as I waited for the light to turn green. I resisted the urge to go shopping, just because, for more spiral notebooks to add to the stack of empty ones on my desk waiting for me to fill them… this time.
