RTT: Scatterbrain

They’re Random! They’re Thoughts! It’s Thursday!

This week: Scatterbrain

  • Driving at a place where two lanes merge into one, I was cut off by a speeding sedan that zoomed around me from the right (thanks, blind spot idiot).
  • His bumper sticker: that “coexist” one with the letters made of religious symbols from varying spiritual paths.
  • Enigma.
  • It took me 15 minutes to write down all the calls I have to make for my writing gig just for tomorrow.
  • Who said summer is the lazy season?
  • I’m still mulling the first episode of the new season of True Detective.
  • The only thing I have so far is “Time is NOT a flat circle” since I’m not on the edge of my seat waiting to see what’s going to happen next, like last time.
  • I’m not comparing these new oranges to those old apples — on its own, it just wasn’t that great, but I’m hoping it gets better now that alllllllllll of that exposition is out of the way.
  • Next time, they should just send Nic Notes (like Cliff Notes, but named for the writer) so we can get each character’s backstory without having to sit through such a disjointed hour with characters sounding like they’re reading from the script because they need to get alllllllll that info in.
  • I guess I’ve mulled that first ep more than I thought….
  • I’m waiting for the “Thanksgiving first, THEN Christmas” people to become outraged — yesterday, on June 24, I saw my first tweet advertisement for school supplies!
  • Didn’t summer just start?
  • This makes me happy, though, because I love back to school sales, a stationery addict’s Christmas.
  • Back to True Detective, you know, I think Colin Farrell looks a lot like Robert Downey Jr. in this pic.

  • Wondering, too: how can the mustache be so coiffed, but the hair, not so much?
  • Enigma #2.
  • I’m calling it now: the mustache did it.
  • I need some tea. Who wants some?
  • This post brought to you by tilt: my brain is like a pinball machine today.
  • Hoping the thoughts settle a bit later so I can work on one of my books and hit the creative jackpot.
  • Ding ding ding! Winner!

I'm a writer who loves to laugh and smile. :-)

Even I can agree June is too soon for school supplies… and I love them! Once July 4th goes by, though, all bets are off. 🙂
