Driving around this weekend, it became clear that Autumn is just about over. Sure, there are a few hangers-on, late-bloomers (or, more accurately, late-true-color-revealers), but they will lose their leaves in the next rainstorm or afternoon of gusty winds. I’ll continue to wander and take pictures, but they’ll be of Winter’s beauty. The seasons are changing.
Autumn, I appreciate the beauty of it all ~ from green, to true colors, to half-covered, to bare. Now, the limbs will reach to the sky in all their starkness until Spring returns again. For months, they’ll stand with the strength beneath their beauty exposed. (Bonus: it makes it easier to see the river along scenic winding roads).
Thanks, Autumn, for your artful beauty this year. Until next time….
