Orange you glad it’s May?

cones 4 for headerIt’s the First of the Month! Yes, I usually do Random Thoughts Thursday on Thursday, but it’s the First of the Month! A new fun lil’ thingy here on DSF. I’ll write a lil’ post about the month of which it is the first and include The Photo of the Month. Exciting! I was going to tweet it with the hashtag #FOTM (the techy kids LOVE acronyms that don’t spell anything!). But there’s a hashtag for #FirstOfTheMonth. Cool!

So it’s May, but it feels like February — serious amounts of rain and a chill. I wore a sweater yesterday. A SWEATER. But I’m sure it’s just Winter’s last gasp. Needy Winter will go away again in a couple of days (I hope).

May means we’re officially entering The Orange Season: orange water ice, orange sorbet, orangesicles, and, of course, orange people at the beach (self-tanned or naturally baked).

Oh, to enjoy (hopefully) a slew of sunny Spring days prior to the arrival of Hot and Sweaty season! With the brightness and warmth, I can type away outside in various locations. Hope I don’t get sand in my laptop!

What’s YOUR favorite orange treat? Looking forward to a beach trip (or 20)? Perfect beach days will be here before we know it! It won’t be all sunshine — of course, there will be challenges. After all, it’s orange season, and we all know the REAL reason why that’s so:

With the Winter we had and the potholes that can swallow cars, these will be EVERYWHERE, even more than usual. Le Sigh.

Orange you glad it’s Spring?
